Learning any new program can be daunting, especially if it is in the alpha stage---but it's always worth it to be on the cutting edge of things. Below are a few things that should help you along the way.
The #1 thing you need to do in order to learn Dynamo is to learn how to learn. It is a discipline. which means the more you do it, the better you get. That being said, don't try to create the Eiffel tower right out of the starting gate. Start with something small like applying an issue date to sheets in Revit or a simple loft form. It will be hard than you think but it will be a small step in the right direction.
Break your graphs into little chunks and build them together like Lego. This will make more sense for you and give you the satisfaction of short term rewards. In turn, this will spur you on to do bigger and better thing with Dynamo. To accomplish these larger and more complex graphs, you will simply start putting together your blocks of code which you already know how to compile. Additionally, it will be easier to trouble shout a graph set up in this way when (not if) something goes wrong.
Any time you are stuck, Google it. So simple yet, sadly, 98% of the time when someone gets stuck they neglect this simple yet powerful resource. About 70% of the time when you Google it, you will find the answer on your own. when that doesn't work ask someone---that's what social media is for after all (twitter works best for asking Dynamo questions).
